About the role

Senior mechanical design engineer leading the development of physical infrastructure for next-generation AI computing, including AI servers, high-density rack systems, and advanced liquid cooling for AMD data center products. Role spans concept through commercialization with pre- and post-silicon activities, collaborating across mechanical, thermal, and structural disciplines to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design and drive the mechanical architecture for AMD’s flagship server and GPU products used in leading-edge data centers worldwide.
  • Work alongside experts in mechanical, thermal, and structural design and shape the future of high-performance computing hardware.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to drive critical technical decisions and solve complex challenges, delivering robust, scalable, and manufacturable solutions that meet demanding performance, reliability, and cost targets.
  • Be part of a results-driven, collaborative environment where your expertise and leadership directly impact product success.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • You are a seasoned mechanical engineering design professional who is self-driven and highly proficient in electromechanical product design, integration, and validation for high-performance computing.
  • Demonstrated ability for innovation and continuous improvement throughout your career, with a track record of driving best practices and value across an organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborative design mindset, strong engineering judgment, and ability to balance technical tradeoffs.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple engineering teams solving complex technical challenges.
