About the role
Senior mechanical/thermal engineer leading design, development, and validation of mechanical and thermal systems for AMD Instinct products, with a focus on robotics automation, infrastructure thermal design, validation, and cross-functional collaboration across silicon design, boarding engineering, validation, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Design/implement infrastructure that supports test and qualification of our Instinct product in production
- Manufacturing solutions for our thermal requirements
- Create detailed designs for mechanical systems and build/test prototypes to validate the designs.
- Develop innovative approaches to cool the systems and use advanced tools to analyze thermal performance.
- Conduct simulations and experiments to verify the designs, ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and resolve mechanical and thermal related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development while keeping projects on schedule and within scope.
- Manage new product development mechanical/thermal processes to ensure successful product launches on time.
- Oversee the manufacturing process of mechanical/thermal components and systems to ensure that quality and specifications are met.
- Stay at the forefront of mechanical and thermal innovations and technologies to provide strategic product and process enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred in Mechanical Engineering
