About the role

Senior-level design engineer role to lead technical engagements between Apple and silicon/IP suppliers, spanning all phases of silicon development and productization for high-volume manufacturing. Focus on digital, analog, and memory technologies, with strong emphasis on leadership, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Be a member of a team that drives technical exchanges and direction with supplier teams (Architecture, Design Methodology, Hardware Design, Software Design and Implementation, Product and Test, Reliability Engineering)
  • Lead hardware and software verification, validation, and qualification activities between Apple internal teams and suppliers, overseeing joint efforts to ensure on-schedule completion
  • Filter and distill critical data from internal and external partners into relevant information for data-driven decision making

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field + 20 years relevant experience
  • Proven experience in digital and mixed-signal integrated circuit design and design automation tools
  • SOC Implementation Skills with front end and back end digital tool suites (place and route, synthesis, design verification)
  • Deep knowledge of EDA tools and approaches for managing design complexity and large technical teams
  • Demonstrated leadership in digital, mixed-signal, analog, or memory IC design, fab, package, product, test, applications, or reliability engineering
  • Strong communication and program management skills
  • Comfortable with dynamic schedule-driven development, crisis management, and directing multi-functional debug efforts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
