About the role

Senior software engineer role focused on developing low-level frameworks and services that connect ML models and inference engines to translation experiences across Apple platforms. Lead projects and people, collaborate with multiple partner teams, and contribute to system design, debugging, testing, and feature development in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop low-level frameworks and services that connect state-of-the-art Machine Learning models and inference engines to Translation experiences across all platforms
  • Work with partner teams including Asset management, Phone/FaceTime and Messages
  • Develop new features, maintain existing code, fix bugs, and contribute to overall system design
  • Lead projects and people as a senior member of the team
  • Engage in multi-threaded architectures and cross-process communication

Qualifications

  • 5+ years development experience with Objective C and/or Swift
  • Experience in object-oriented software design and programming
  • Framework-level programming including multi-threaded architectures and cross-process communication
  • Accomplished debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Strong testing discipline
  • Project Leadership
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of industrial working experience
  • 10+ years development experience with Objective-C and/or Swift
  • Experience with user features that integrate or adopt language modeling technologies
  • Understanding of issues with delivering features for an international audience
  • Experience with AI Tools to support coding, reviews and code analysis
