About the role

Design Verification Engineer role at Apple focused on verifying pre-silicon functionality and performance of digital custom IPs for Apple SoCs, ensuring bug-free first silicon and high-quality results through test benches, regression, and coverage analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Review design and architecture specifications to understand use cases and corner conditions.
  • Translate specifications into test benches including stimulus, checkers, assertions, trackers, and coverage.
  • Collaborate with custom circuit designers and RTL designers to understand functionality and performance goals.
  • Run and triage regressions, track bugs, and analyze coverage to achieve high quality results.
  • Work in a highly visible role at the center of an SoC design effort, collaborating with multiple teams to deliver bug-free products to market.

Qualifications

  • BS degree
  • minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • DV skills including random verification process, functional coverage, code coverage, assertion methodology & philosophy
  • Knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog, digital simulation and debug tools
  • At least one scripting language (Perl or Python)
  • Knowledge of behavioral and structural RTL coding (SRAM, register file, and other custom circuit designs)
  • Knowledge of FPGA and emulation challenges related to RTL coding and verification (desirable)
  • Knowledge of industry standard design tools such as ESPCV and/or LEC
  • Knowledge of regression and revision control tools
  • DFT (ATPG/MBIST) knowledge (desirable)
