About the role

Scale seeks a product leader to own the strategy and roadmap for SGP's core platform, lead the product management team, and coordinate with customers, platform engineering, and forward deployed teams to build, productize, and improve AI application capabilities across environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the platform strategy and roadmap. Prioritize across developer experience, capabilities needs, and productizing field work. Sequence investments against customer value, commitments, and dependencies.
  • Define how the product should work. Write clear requirements, develop prototypes, user journeys, and measure success by customer outcomes, capability adoption, delivery time, and production performance; follow through on gaps after launch.
  • Align teams across the business. Collaborate with platform engineering, forward deployed PMs, and business leaders to agree on shared capabilities, rollout priorities, and environment-specific needs.
  • Build and lead a strong PM team. Establish clear ownership, hire and coach PMs, raise product thinking quality, and stay involved in consequential decisions.

Qualifications

  • Track record of owning platform, infrastructure, or developer products from problem definition through launch and sustained production use.
  • Experience managing and developing product managers, setting direction across multiple related product areas, and remaining hands-on with important product decisions.
  • Strong product judgment with ability to explain problem selection, sequencing, and user impact.
  • Technical depth to work credibly with engineers on APIs, runtime behavior, identity and authorization, deployment, observability, and data isolation; ability to reason about architectural tradeoffs.
  • Experience driving adoption across teams with different needs and constraints; ability to make decisions and follow through with cross-team dependencies.
  • Clear, precise writing and communication; ability to turn ambiguous problems into actionable requirements and explain priorities to customers and executives.
