About the role

Paralegal role within Carta’s Contracts team (APAC) focused on high-volume, fast-paced transactional contract support for private capital, including investment-related NDAs and related documents, with AI-backed tools and collaboration with UK lawyers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the prompt intake and first-round markup of investment-related NDAs and related documents, ensuring timely delivery
  • Support UK lawyers with first-round drafting and ad hoc legal work to manage volume
  • Set up and coordinate client workflows, manage document portals, and drive contracts through to execution
  • Deliver crisp, commercially sound contract support balancing speed with attention to detail

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in transactional or corporate practice, or in-house commercial legal team, with exposure to commercial contracts and investment-related NDA drafting
  • Fast and precise under pressure, able to handle high-volume, deadline-driven environments
  • Strong grasp of relevant legal concepts with commercial pragmatism
  • Clear written and verbal communication, concise and client-focused
  • Self-starter with ownership and process-improvement mindset
  • Familiarity with private markets, private capital, fund structures, or investor onboarding workflows is a plus
