About the role
Senior Data Scientist responsible for end-to-end model development and production deployment, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to optimize operations, marketing, and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Build from Scratch: write complex SQL, engineer features, and deploy baseline models quickly to prove value before iterating toward complex solutions.
- End-to-End Execution: manage the complete model lifecycle from data extraction and feature engineering to deployment, A/B testing, and monitoring.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with Engineering, Product, and Finance to translate model outputs into actionable business insights.
- Uphold Technical Standards: write clean, modular, production-ready code; participate in peer code reviews and contribute to best practices.
- Drive Project Delivery: break down complex requirements into executable milestones amid technical ambiguity.
- Team Mentorship: provide technical guidance to junior data scientists and analysts.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of applied experience in Data Science or ML Engineering with production-ready models delivering measurable business value.
- Strong Python and SQL proficiency; deep familiarity with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn; experience with PyTorch, XGBoost, or LightGBM.
- Experience in cloud environments (AWS or GCP); familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and ML Ops principles.
- Analytical problem solving with ability to tie technical metrics to business outcomes; sensible model selection over complexity.
- Excellent communication to explain technical concepts, limitations, and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- BS, MS, or equivalent in quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Economics, CS, Applied Math, etc.).
