About the role
Founding Growth Lead at VideoGen to grow the customer base and improve B2B monetization, with PLG focus and potential to build a small in-house growth team post-Series A.
Responsibilities
- Always: - Use VideoGen the way an ICP would and provide detailed product feedback. - Talk to users, customers, and prospects to capture product and market insights. - Set clear, measurable goals (KPIs, OKRs) and communicate with leadership. - Decide what we do in-house vs with vendors and manage marketing vendor relationships. - Use AI coding agents (e.g., Cursor) to research, run analysis, and build internal tools/automations. Pre-Series A: - Manage our lightweight marketing channels: Email, SEO, organic, affiliate. - Lead small growth experiments to generate insights or incremental revenue. - Create foundational marketing materials (ICPs, Personas, Sales Decks, etc.). Post-Series A: - Run a comprehensive marketing loop (SEO, paid social, search, influencers, PR, etc.) to build awareness and drive conversions among our target customers. - Set growth targets with leadership, execute, and hold the team accountable. - Help build and manage a small in-house growth team.
Qualifications
- Understanding of product-led growth (PLG). You've worked on a self-serve funnel and know what great looks like.
- Experience producing or managing video ads.
- Opinionated advocate for marketer ICPs.
- Founding-level execution and experience at a small company.
- Comfortable in user/customer conversations.
- Experience with various marketing channels and ability to learn quickly.
