About the role

Senior Data Engineer focused on ensuring data model integrity, consistency, and governance across the ecosystem, developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Databricks, and collaborating with business and data science teams to deploy AI models in the cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) in Azure environment using Databricks for processing and integration.
  • 360-degree view of projects, understanding impacts of solutions on the project as a whole.
  • Implement CI/CD practices for automating deployments and code versioning in GitHub.
  • Model and evolve tables in Unity Catalog, applying naming and schema versioning best practices.
  • Design and optimize data models to ensure scalability, performance, and governance.
  • Assist cloud migration projects, ensuring data security, quality, and integrity.
  • Collaborate with business and data science teams to deploy AI models in a cloud environment.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency using data profiling and monitoring techniques.
  • Document processes, architectures, and data engineering best practices.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in Azure Data Services and Databricks.
  • Experience with Databricks using PySpark.
  • Experience with Gold/Silver data architecture (arquitetura medalhão).
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and transformation.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and GitHub versioning.
  • Knowledge of analytical data modeling (ingestion, preparation, and consumption layers).
  • Experience in cloud migration projects.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT and integration of large data volumes.
  • Experience deploying AI models and using tools like Azure ML.
  • Experience with AI projects and pipeline automation.
