About the role

The Data Center Technician supports data center availability and reliability through hardware and network diagnostics, repairs, and on-site operational duties in a 100% onsite role with potential on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Computer Hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling)
  • Linux Operating System experience.
  • Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods to perform diagnostic and repair tasks.
  • Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces, such as under-floor areas or on ladders, to access server racks.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as handling small hardware components and cables.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including participating in a rotating on-call shift.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues.
  • Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled data center with temperatures 60°F to 90°F.
