About the role
Senior Software Engineer role at FleetPulse, a trailer telematics company based in Chicago. Hybrid, on-site required in Chicago, IL. Full-time position with opportunities to impact product and platform through end-to-end development, API design, observability, and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Full stack web application development and end-to-end ownership of projects
- Designing APIs, focusing on observability and platform building
- Raising technical standards through code and design reviews and mentoring other engineers
- Partnering with product stakeholders to refine requirements and push projects forward
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a professional software developer
- Experience with Kotlin, Java, Python or another backend language
- Experience with AWS, GCP or another major cloud provider
- Familiarity with relational databases and schema design
- Passion for code quality and engineering best practices
- Experience with large distributed systems with emphasis on observability, instrumentation, monitoring
- Intuition for balancing delivery speed and polish
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
