About the role

Strategic Sourcing Manager overseeing post-fab and advanced packaging services within AMD’s foundry procurement. Responsible for developing global procurement strategy, supplier relationships, and cost/quality improvements for foundry post-fab and advanced packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the management and spend of AMD’s strategic foundry suppliers with focus on post fab / advanced packaging services reporting to the Director Foundry Procurement.
  • Develop the global procurement strategy for foundry with focus on post fab and advanced packaging; implement a supplier development program with long-term approach on cost, quality, and service.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Provide analytical support and recommendations regarding sourcing strategies, requirements planning, and cost improvement.
  • Collaborate with partners and foundry team to develop negotiation strategies to drive cost targets.
  • Develop, implement, and lead critical foundry procurement management processes (NPI/NRE procurement program management / order execution, Spend/Savings reporting, emergency ordering, payables/receivables tracking, action tracking).
  • Own the overall driven bidding process including analysis, price negotiation, and driving business awards.
  • Implement contracts to minimize AMD risk and enable supplier accountability for non-performance.
  • Lead Supplier Performance Management (SPM) and quarterly scorecard process to review cost, technology, quality, service, and flexibility.
  • Develop and communicate a foundry post fab / advanced packaging commodity strategy; provide updates to AMD Senior Management Team.
  • Formalize foundry post fab / advanced packaging market research and benchmarking processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to communicate AMD requirements.
  • Own spend, savings and forecasting for Foundry post fab / advanced packaging suppliers.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree
  • MBA (preferred)
