About the role

Senior Staff Silicon Design Engineer role in SBIO focusing on hardware validation platforms and debugging complex issues in hardware and software, with emulation and prototyping responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop pre-silicon models using commercial prototyping or emulation platforms
  • Collaborate with design, verification and firmware teams to debug issues found on both prototyping and emulation platforms
  • Improve internal flows and processes
  • Innovate in the area of emulation and contribute in architecture reviews and planning

Qualifications

  • BS ( or higher ) degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering desired
  • 10+ years of experience in field of hardware prototyping/emulation
  • Experience with Emulation of full-SoC design with embedded processors
  • Familiarity with industry standard high-speed protocols such as USB and PCIe is a plus
  • Broad software debug experience with C/C++ and knowledge of low-level assembly programming languages
  • Fluent in System Verilog and a familiarity with VHDL hardware design languages, simulation and debug
  • Have worked with leading emulation and prototyping vendors (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor) to debug issues and deploy new capabilities
