About the role

Apple Pay Technical Specialist to support e-commerce merchant integrations and platforms, acting as the technical point of contact for merchants and PSPs, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and enablement to streamline Apple Pay adoption across online channels.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Technical Integrations: Support Apple Pay e-commerce merchant teams by providing the technical guidance and hands-on support necessary to integrate Apple Pay functionality into merchant and PSP platforms.
  • Resolve Integration Hurdles: Partner with Apple Pay Merchant Specialists to address pre- and post-sales technical issues, diagnosing and resolving complex integration problems faced by merchants.
  • Optimize User Experiences: Meticulously review and document merchant UX across existing app and web implementations to identify feature gaps, improve checkout conversion rates, and elevate transaction quality.
  • Champion Best-in-Class Implementations: Inspire partners to build exceptional Apple Pay and Wallet experiences, driving the adoption of new features and establishing product implementation best practices.
  • Create Developer Resources: Assist in authoring and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, integration blueprints, and enablement guides for merchants.
  • Manage & Scale Projects: Autonomously lead multiple concurrent partner projects, craft scalable integration workflows, and provide clear, consistent progress updates to business leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience in app or website development.
  • Technical Foundation: Practical experience in web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and/or iOS development (Swift).
  • Industry Domain Expertise: Experience working within the online payments ecosystem, including merchant segments, PSPs, payment networks, and processors.
  • Partner-Facing Troubleshooting: Highly skilled at helping external partners navigate technical complexities and overcome integration hurdles to drive technology adoption.
  • System Diagnostics: Experience integrating, supporting, and troubleshooting a complex suite of software, products, and services.
  • Adaptable Communication: Exceptional client-facing communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable advice for non-technical stakeholders.
  • UX Advocate: A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer journeys and seamless user experiences.
  • Exceptional Learning Agility: A proven ability to rapidly self-onboard onto unfamiliar toolsets, languages, or software platforms with minimal guidance.
  • Autonomous Execution: A highly organized self-starter with the discipline and project management skills to drive initiatives end-to-end with high autonomy.
