About the role

Engineer role focused on building and deploying ML/AI solutions for Danish Siri, acting as technical anchor for the Danish market and delivering end-to-end ML/GenAI systems, scalable software, and linguistically aware experiences for Danish users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead work streams to design and implement large-scale ML and GenAI solutions for the Danish market
  • Craft end-to-end solutions across Machine Learning, Data, and Software Engineering
  • Leverage large language models (LLMs), agentic approaches, and data generation methods to build real-world systems
  • Collaborate with partner teams across Apple to account for international market nuances and deliver native Danish Siri experiences
  • Propose architectural solutions and contribute to production-grade codebases

Qualifications

  • Professional-level fluency in Danish with deep cultural familiarity
  • Experience applying machine learning and NLP techniques to deliver products; solid understanding of ML concepts
  • Strong software design and programming skills across paradigms, including testing and maintainability; experience on large production codebases
  • Experience working with data at scale: building/curating datasets, analyzing results, data-driven decisions
  • Hands-on experience with large language models: fine-tuning, prompt/context engineering, evaluation, inference optimization; experience with agentic systems, tool calling, or retrieval-augmented generation
  • Experience with speech technologies such as ASR, TTS, or pronunciation modeling
  • Experience adapting models/products across languages and markets (multilingual/cross-lingual, transfer learning, low-resource settings)
  • Ability to formulate research problems, design, experiment, implement, and communicate solutions
  • Product-focused with emphasis on end-user experience
  • Experience writing software in Python, Swift, Objective-C, C++, or C; Apple platform experience preferred
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
