About the role

Senior patent litigator to provide strategic, hands-on legal support for Apple’s intellectual property litigation. Responsibilities include formulating and driving litigation strategy, advising internal clients, and managing day-to-day progress of patent cases with a trial-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support for patent litigation matters across Apple’s products and businesses
  • Formulate and drive litigation strategy; advise internal clients on patent litigation issues
  • Manage day-to-day progress of patent cases with independent judgment
  • Identify and manage risks and exposure; seek strategic opportunities for resolution
  • Work closely with internal IP litigation team, potentially directing or collaborating with outside counsel

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of major law firm and/or in-house patent litigation experience
  • J.D. or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
  • Strong technology interest and aptitude
  • Excellent communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Preference for broad patent litigation experience, especially standard essential patent litigation and/or ITC experience
  • Trial experience strongly preferred
