About the role

Siri localization and development role focusing on Arabic speakers. Owns end-to-end ML/GenAI solutions for Arabic users, collaborating across Apple teams to deliver culturally relevant and highly personalized Siri experiences. Combines machine learning/NLP with software engineering to build scalable systems, fine-tune LLMs, and adapt products across languages and markets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead work streams to design and implement large-scale ML and GenAI solutions for the Arabic market.
  • Serve as the technical anchor for the Arabic market, collaborating with partner teams across Apple.
  • Architect and implement end-to-end solutions spanning Speech Recognition, NLP, and Response, leveraging LLMs and agentic approaches.
  • Engineer scalable software to deliver personalized experiences and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Work across multiple disciplines including data experiments, model adaptation for international markets, and data generation methods.
  • Translate market nuances and cultural considerations into robust product and system designs.

Qualifications

  • Professional-level fluency in Arabic with deep cultural familiarity.
  • Experience applying machine learning and NLP techniques to deliver products; solid understanding of ML concepts.
  • Strong software design and programming skills across paradigms; experience contributing to large production codebases.
  • Experience working with data at scale, building or curating datasets, analyzing results, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with large language models: fine-tuning, prompt and context engineering, evaluation, inference optimization; including agentic systems, tool calling, or retrieval-augmented generation.
  • Experience with speech technologies such as ASR, TTS, or pronunciation modeling.
  • Experience adapting models/products across languages and markets (multilingual/cross-lingual modeling, transfer learning, or low-resource settings).
  • Ability to formulate research problems, design, experiment, implement and communicate solutions.
  • Product-focused mindset with emphasis on end-user experience.
  • Experience writing software in Python, Swift, Objective-C, C++ or C; Apple platform experience preferred.
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
