About the role

Technical Program Manager for the On-Device Machine Learning (ODML) team within GGML Software, driving high-performance ML frameworks and OS features to accelerate machine learning across Apple products. Focus on enabling Research to Production lifecycle for ML models with deep integration to Apple silicon and infrastructure, delivering end-to-end on-device experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale engineering products or platforms involving machine learning, data processing, and data analytics tools at Internet scale.
  • Engage with business partners to translate needs into technical roadmaps and communicate with executive stakeholders.
  • Survey user needs (internal users) and translate requirements into a feature roadmap to deliver the best user experience.
  • Use data and metrics to back up assumptions, make recommendations, and drive actions.
  • Triage, prioritize, and lead cross-functional teams under pressure with real-time responsiveness.
  • Foster technical communities across organizational boundaries (experience building communities).

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in a role leading cross-functional teams in product/project/program development.
  • BS/MS (EE/CS/CE) or related technical field.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale engineering products or platforms involving ML, data processing, data analytics tools at Internet scale, including ML training, data processing pipelines, large-scale backend services, or user-facing applications that use those services.
  • Ability to engage with business partners, translate needs into technical roadmaps, and communicate with executive stakeholders.
  • Passion for delivering the best internal user experience by translating user needs into a feature roadmap.
  • Ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and drive actions.
  • Self-motivated, independent, proactive; creative and critical thinking; capable of real-time triage and prioritization.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
