About the role

Role within Apple’s Security Engineering & Architecture organization building and operating infrastructure used by security engineers across Apple. Design, develop, and operate software and infrastructure to support security engineering teams with distributed services, APIs, tooling, deployment automation, observability, and integrations to improve reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate software and infrastructure used by security engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with engineers across the organization to understand their needs and translate them into platform capabilities.
  • Develop distributed services, APIs, command-line tools, deployment automation, observability, and integrations with other engineering systems.
  • Improve reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency of provided services.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or 5+ years equivalent experience
  • Strong problem solving and logic in backend programming
  • Experience with building cloud services and distributed systems at scale
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of cross-organizational projects
  • Excellent Swift, Objective-C, or Go programming skills
  • Experience with high-availability operations management, including deployment automation and rollback strategies
  • Familiarity with security architecture design and review
  • Effective communication of complex technical concepts
  • Track record of shipping customer-facing services or products
  • 5+ years of experience with multi-functional technical leadership
