About the role

Role responsible for ensuring seamless operation and management of Apple’s data center campuses by establishing and maintaining a high operational tempo and efficiency across all data center teams. Focus on collaboration, communication, continuous improvement, and delivering reliable and efficient infrastructure solutions within critical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-priority projects, address critical issues promptly, and ensure timely and accurate communication with executive management, demonstrating strategic insight and operational acumen.
  • Collaboration and effective communication are central to this role.
  • Foster positive relationships across the data center portfolio domestically and internationally, ensuring information flows efficiently and initiatives align with organizational goals.
  • Partner with senior leadership across the portfolio to deploy standard procedures and industry best practices, while fostering a site culture of continuous improvement and positive morale.
  • Lead data center operations to exceed industry standards, supporting the mission to deliver reliable and efficient infrastructure solutions.
  • Champion innovation and operational excellence to act as a vital catalyst for growth and success within the organization.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of data center leadership experience or similar critical operations environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive hands-on experience in data center operations, combined with vocational training or certifications in relevant technical fields
  • Extensive senior leadership experience in leading data center operations
  • Experience with managing OpEx/CapEx budgets
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering Management, or a related field
  • 15+ years of data center leadership experience or similar critical operations environment
  • Expertise in procurement standard methodologies and contract negotiations
  • Experience in site headcount planning, forecasting, recruitment, and development, including performance and compensation planning
  • Skilled in developing, implementing, and using key performance indicators
  • Ability to deliver comprehensive presentations to director-level leadership on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Experience working with the ISDCO (Infrastructure Services Data Center Operations) Capacity Management team to optimize the availability and utilization of data center space and power
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing senior-level individual contributors, managers, and technical staff.
