About the role

Senior IP litigation attorney sought to lead patent litigation strategy and provide direct counsel to internal clients. Requires self-sufficiency, trial-focused approach, and ability to manage day-to-day patent cases while shaping strategy and working closely with Apple's IP litigation team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support for Apple’s products and businesses across the globe.
  • Engage in formulating and driving patent litigation strategy and provide counsel to internal clients on patent litigation matters.
  • Handle day-to-day progress of patent cases and manage risks and exposures.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for resolution.
  • Operate with a high degree of self-sufficiency and independent judgment within a trial-focused approach.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team of lawyers, legal specialists, and support staff.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of major law firm and/or in-house patent litigation experience
  • JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
  • Strong technology interest and aptitude
  • Excellent communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Preference for broad patent litigation experience, especially standard essential patent litigation and/or ITC experience
  • Trial experience strongly preferred
