About the role

Senior, hands-on IC role focused on shaping Quince’s digital product experience with an app-first mindset across iOS, Android, and web; leads complex initiatives from strategy through execution and mentors other designers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end UX for high-impact, complex product initiatives, from defining the problem and experience strategy through detailed design, testing, iteration, and launch.
  • Champion an app-first design mentality, leveraging native mobile behaviors to create better experiences rather than simply porting web patterns.
  • Shape core e-commerce experiences across discovery, browsing, PDPs, cart, checkout, account, order management, and post-purchase.
  • Establish strong UX direction for ownership areas, connecting features into a cohesive end-to-end experience.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to influence product strategy, prioritization, and roadmaps with a customer/UX perspective.
  • Evolve design system and extend components, patterns, and interaction standards across app and web.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering on design system implementation for scalable components and patterns.
  • Partner with Product and Analytics on experimentation and A/B testing, translating learnings into UX improvements.
  • Utilize research, insights, and data to inform decisions; apply interaction design thinking including micro-interactions and motion.
  • Maintain high visual craft and brand-consistent experiences; mentor other designers to elevate UX standards.
  • Communicate design rationale effectively to cross-functional partners and senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product design experience, ideally with e-commerce, marketplace, or consumer-facing digital products.
  • Deep experience designing native mobile products for iOS and Android with strong mobile interaction patterns and platform conventions.
  • Strong app-first product mindset and demonstrated ability to leverage native mobile capabilities for better experiences.
  • Experience leading complex, high-impact product initiatives with significant autonomy from problem definition through launch and iteration.
  • Significant experience contributing to mature design systems and introducing scalable patterns.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, libraries, variables, prototyping, and scalable practices.
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering on design system implementation and component behavior across platforms.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end customer journeys and e-commerce experiences (discovery, shopping, cart, checkout, account, post-purchase).
  • Experience using research, usability testing, experimentation, and quantitative data to inform decisions.
  • Strong interaction design skills, micro-interactions, motion, and native app behaviors.
  • Attention to detail and visual judgment aligned with brand; ability to create polished experiences.
  • Curiosity and point of view on AI and emerging design tools for exploration and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to influence cross-functional partners and leadership.
  • Experience mentoring other designers and elevating team quality.
