About the role

Junior Paralegal role within Carta’s North America Contracts team, supporting lawyers with first-round markups of investment-related NDAs and commercial contracts, managing document lifecycles, and contributing to high-volume client delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support lawyers with first-round markups of investment-related NDAs and commercial contracts
  • Manage document lifecycles, track deadlines, communicate with counterparties, and assist with execution
  • Work closely with lawyers and senior paralegals, contributing to high-quality client delivery across fast-moving, high-volume matters
  • Build commercial and legal expertise over time, with opportunities to take ownership of client accounts

Qualifications

  • 0-1+ years of experience (internship experience) with a bachelor's degree in law or equivalent preferred
  • Prior exposure to NDAs is a plus but not required
  • Eager to learn and grow in legal practice (compliance, contracts, or funds)
  • Organized and efficient with good attention to detail
  • Strong communicator who writes and speaks clearly and professionally
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works independently when needed
  • Team player who collaborates across a fast-paced environment
