About the role

Senior Paralegal – Contracts at Carta, supporting high-volume transactional contract work (investment-related NDAs and related documents) with rapid turnaround, workflow management, and collaboration with US lawyers and embedded AI agents.

Responsibilities

  • Own the prompt intake and first-round markup of investment-related NDAs and related documents, ensuring timely turnarounds
  • Support US lawyers with first-round drafting and ad hoc legal work to handle volume and enable attorneys to focus on complexity
  • Set up and coordinate client workflows, manage document portals, and drive contracts through to execution
  • Deliver crisp, commercially sound contract support that balances speed with attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in transactional or corporate practice, or in-house commercial legal team
  • Hands-on exposure to commercial contracts and investment-related NDA drafting
  • Experience thriving in high-volume, deadline-driven environments
  • Strong grasp of relevant legal concepts with commercial pragmatism
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to identify inefficiencies and improve team operations
  • Familiarity with private markets, private capital, fund structures, or investor onboarding workflows is a plus
