About the role

Staff Product Manager owning the Engineering and Construction domains of CapitalProjectOS (CPOS), overseeing MarianaEngineer and MarianaSuper from strategy to execution, embedding AI into engineering and field workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and prioritization for MarianaEngineer and MarianaSuper, including agentic tooling such as engineering automation, reality capture, and plan-versus-actual intelligence.
  • Serve as the primary domain expert translating capital project engineering and construction workflows into software requirements; bridge between engineers, superintendents, project controls, software engineering, and executives.
  • Embed with engineering and field teams to understand real-world workflows, anticipate edge cases, and define true requirements.
  • Write clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business rules; build and test prototypes to validate valuable products quickly.
  • Build a structured user engagement model (discovery sessions, workflow reviews, sprint reviews, UAT, adoption checks) and drive feedback and adoption accountability.
  • Develop rollout plans, training materials, adoption metrics, and feedback loops; collaborate with leadership to resolve adoption barriers.
  • Define and track success metrics (e.g., modeling/design turnaround time, reality-capture adoption, plan-versus-actual accuracy, cycle time, project outcomes).
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives; maintain a well-prioritized backlog.
  • Create visibility into what’s being built, its importance, and performance.
  • Help build the PM function at an AI company, contributing to early-team development and shaping PM practices.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in capital project engineering (process, mechanical, or EPC design) and/or construction/field execution (superintendent, construction management, project controls).
  • Strong understanding of the capital project lifecycle including design basis, engineering deliverables, procurement handoff, construction execution, and commissioning.
  • Ability to go deep on engineering and construction workflows and earn credibility with domain experts.
  • Strong product judgment with prioritization and focus on high-leverage work.
  • Ability to translate complex operational workflows into clear requirements and lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity.
  • Genuine interest in AI-powered tooling and staying current on AI advancements.
  • Strong communication skills across field, engineers, and executives.
