About the role

Staff Pharmacist responsible for providing outstanding pharmacy service, pharmacist oversight, and ensuring patient safety and compliance with federal/state regulations. Based in New Albany, OH, with opportunities in Gilbert, AZ and Los Alamitos, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all security and privacy rules regarding PHI in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Update and maintain patient profile records according to state regulations
  • Practice state and federal pharmacy regulations for ordering, handling, and management of prescriptions
  • Attend pharmacy team meetings
  • Drive quality efforts by adhering to SOPs
  • Follow state and pharmacy regulations as designated by the State Board of Pharmacy
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment per FDA rules
  • Provide a world class pharmacy experience for patients
  • Perform pharmacist duties such as drug utilization reviews, patient counseling, dispensing activities
  • Dispense medications and ensure accurate interpretation, labeling and product selection of prescriptions
  • Supervise technicians’ workflow, verify preparation and labeling, verify orders and inspections
  • Supervise work results of support personnel
  • Adhere to infection-control protocols to protect patients and technicians
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
  • 1-3 years of Pharmacist experience
  • Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Ability to work flexible shift times
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems
  • PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist active in their state at hire
