About the role

Accenture Construct is seeking an MEP Construction Manager II to lead field activities on complex building projects, coordinating MEP, fire protection, controls and related systems from early strategy through handover.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate MEP, fire protection, controls, and related building system construction activities on site while coordinating with Owner, design consultants, contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, commissioning personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide hands-on field oversight of MEP installations ensuring compliance with contract drawings, specifications, approved shop drawings, submittals, manufacturer requirements, codes, and industry practices.
  • Review mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, architectural, and structural drawings to identify conflicts and constructability concerns.
  • Monitor installation of HVAC, ductwork, piping, electrical distribution, switchgear, panels, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, BAS/controls, and related equipment; verify conformity with submittals and contract requirements.
  • Coordinate with MEP contractors to resolve field conflicts related to equipment locations, routing, clearances, access, penetrations, and system integration.
  • Monitor MEP sequencing and coordination with other disciplines and ensure above-ceiling coordination, utility connections, and maintenance clearances.
  • Coordinate and attend inspections with authorities, witness testing and commissioning activities as applicable.
  • Identify and escalate field safety concerns; maintain detailed daily field reports and documentation.
  • Monitor CPM schedule with emphasis on MEP procurement, long-lead equipment, inspections, energization, startup, testing, and turnover; assist with field validation of changes.
  • Inspect completed and in-progress MEP work; manage punch lists, nonconformities, and closeout documentation (as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, testing reports, commissioning records).

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of field construction experience in a Construction Manager, MEP Construction Manager, Field Manager, Superintendent, MEP Superintendent, or similar leadership role on complex building projects (commercial, institutional, educational, healthcare).
  • Demonstrated experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls/BAS, and related building systems, including coordination of multiple MEP trades and turnover activities.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, shop and coordination drawings, equipment submittals, RFIs, and contract documents; identify constructability and coordination issues and develop practical field solutions.
  • Experience coordinating inspections, testing agencies, AHJs, utility providers, commissioning activities, and project teams; strong field problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management and field documentation software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Bluebeam, Kahua, PlanGrid, Procore or comparable). OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training; bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline preferred but not required with equivalent field experience.
