About the role

Accountant based in the Dominican Republic supporting InvestorFlow’s global accounting function with primary responsibility for accounts payable and selected month-end close activities for the U.S. and UK entities.

Responsibilities

  • Process U.S. and UK accounts payable, employee expense reimbursements, and corporate credit card transactions.
  • Review expenses to ensure appropriate supporting documentation, compliance with company policies, accurate GL and department coding, prior approvals, and proper sales tax/VAT treatment.
  • Coordinate payment scheduling and ensure approved transactions are integrated into the general ledger (NetSuite in the US and Xero in the UK).
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and supporting documentation.
  • Work with employees and budget owners to resolve incomplete or non-compliant expenses.
  • Assist with accounts payable and expense-related audit requests and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain prepaid expense schedules and related journal entries.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and prepare depreciation and amortization entries.
  • Prepare assigned balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and journal entries as part of the monthly close.
  • Support U.S. and UK month-end close activities and other accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Approximately 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and month-end close processes.
  • Experience with accounts payable, expense management, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Experience with NetSuite or another major ERP system preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established accounting and control procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, identify issues, and follow through to resolution.
