About the role

Internship in Waymo's Sim-Realism ML Infrastructure within the Software Engineering function, targeting MS/PhD students for Summer 2027 in London, focusing on maintaining large-scale multimodal data and developing new systems to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Contribute to existing projects maintaining millions of multi-modal examples and PiBs of feature data.
  • Implement new systems to improve existing workflows.
  • Work with users and agents to identify use cases and flows that can be improved.

Qualifications

  • Python / C++ Coding.
  • Distributed Systems.
  • Familiarity with ML training and inference lifecycles.

Skills

Required:PythonC++Distributed SystemsML training and inference lifecycles
Nice to have:Feature extraction / feature representations (preferred)Deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Jax) (preferred)Autonomous driving / robotics (preferred)
