About the role

Internship in Waymo's Hardware Global Supply Management (GSM) - Silicon & Electronic Components. Focus on high-complexity, high-value commercial sourcing for custom silicon and electronic components, with emphasis on AI-driven automation, cost modeling, and supplier collaboration. Hybrid onsite internship in Mountain View, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform should-cost modeling, component teardown analysis
  • RFP/RFQ process documentation and template standardization; automation for feedback ingestion and analysis

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a BS or MS program in Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related technical fields.
  • Understanding of semiconductor and electronic components fabrication, packaging, passive/discrete component lifecycles, and design fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in AI and automation via prompting, Python scripting, agentic automation frameworks, and workspace automation.
  • Strong experience with bottom-up should-cost modeling, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and large-scale BOM/financial analytics in Excel/Sheets.

  • Hourly Bachelors Pay: $60/hr
  • Hourly Masters Pay: $70/hr
