About the role

Waymo internship for graduate students (MS/PhD) in Computer Science or related field, focusing on software engineering for autonomous driving. Hybrid onsite internship in Mountain View, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cluster analysis of driving behaviors of autonomous vehicles
  • Build tools and automated pipelines to help improve Waymo’s in-field response to undesirable events
  • Experiment with ideas to improve precision of signals that detect undesirable behaviors
  • Develop signals to quantify Waymo’s driving performance

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing graduate degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field
  • Proficiency in Python / C++
  • Basic proficiency for data analysis (SQL or Python)
  • Data fluency
