About the role

Software Engineer focused on machine learning and natural language processing to advance Siri for Indonesia and Malaysia markets, combining ML model development, data generation, and integration of personalized user experiences across global products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead work streams to design and implement large-scale ML solutions integrating the latest state-of-the-art research in global products to advance customer experience.
  • Generate data, develop ML models, train and evaluate models, and integrate personalized experiences for each customer across global markets.
  • Collaborate with partner teams across Apple to deliver architectural proposals that account for international market needs.
  • Bridge machine learning and software engineering, contributing to both model lifecycle management and software system architecture.
  • Demonstrate expertise in large language models, model fine-tuning, evaluation, and agentic engineering; translate research into practical, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

  • BS or Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent software engineering experience, preferably with iOS or macOS development.
  • Experience with training and evaluating foundation models and building scalable workflows on top of them.
  • Ability to formulate a research problem, design, experiment, implement and communicate solutions.
  • Strong programming proficiency in languages such as Python and Swift.
  • Solid grounding in software engineering principles and computer science fundamentals.
  • Fluency in Indonesian and Malay; ability to work in an English-speaking environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and adaptability in fast-changing environments.
