About the role

Genius role in Apple Retail in Hannover, Germany. Combines extensive troubleshooting with customer service to educate customers, perform repairs, mentor team members, and contribute to an inclusive store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service and empower customers to get the most out of Apple products and services.
  • Educate customers about repair options and Apple offerings; perform repairs on all Apple products serviced in the store.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve service concerns for Apple hardware and software.
  • Identify ownership opportunities, present product/service recommendations, and educate customers on how to buy.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to identify recurring repair problems and provide feedback to Apple.
  • Mentor and serve as a positive role model for Genius Bar team members; support leadership in resolving customer escalations.
  • Support customer-facing activities on or off the sales floor as needed.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment by respecting differences and promoting inclusion and diversity.

Qualifications

  • Be available to work a schedule based on business needs, including nights and weekends, in line with local laws and accommodations.
  • Experience in retail or sales, or related work experience.
  • Ability to visually inspect hardware and perform repairs with fine motor skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a customer service environment.
  • Proficiency in the local language, both written and spoken (sign language supported).
