About the role

Systems software engineer within Apple’s Platform Architecture group, focusing on developing and supporting new technologies for cloud, data center, and silicon development to enable best-in-class system prototypes and ecosystem experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal customers to understand their requirements and workflows and propose new features and ecosystem changes to streamline their experience using the platform.
  • Share ownership of the team’s codebase, service architecture, tools, and developer experience and maintain a high-quality bar to ensure optimal development velocity.
  • Work independently and lead deliverables to different teams.
  • Occasional travel to development groups in the US and overseas.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field.
  • Experience with programming (Go, Swift or C++) and scripting (e.g. Python, Bash).
  • Experience debugging complex systems.
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Understanding and practical experience with HTTP, DNS, RPC frameworks, databases, and operating systems.
  • Good understanding of Cloud security concepts, plus knowledge of Authentication/Authorization frameworks and tools.
  • Knowledge of containers (Docker, Podman, Apple Container).
  • Excellent communication, analytical and documentation skills.
  • Experience using AI Agents or LLMs in software development.
  • Exposure to Silicon workflows.
