About the role

Hardware design engineer for iPhone hardware system design, involved from product concept through mass production, focusing on analog, high-speed digital design and system-level trade-offs.

Responsibilities

  • Design of complex system architectures
  • Hands on experience with lab test equipment to debug difficult/intermittent hardware issues
  • Schematic capture and rigid/flexible PCB layout
  • Fundamentals of Signal and Power Integrity
  • Low voltage power regulation and delivery
  • Prototype design and validation with custom silicon
  • Use of scripting languages to assist with hardware development
  • Strong collaboration leading dynamic multi-functional teams
  • Analyze solutions and make system design trade-offs
  • Familiarity with taking a product from early architecture through to production
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Qualifications

  • BS Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Electrical engineering fundamentals including analog and high speed digital design
  • Broad experience across different applications and technologies
  • Design of complex system architectures
  • Strong desire to dive deep into system level issues and drive problems to closure in a team-based environment with a proactive attitude
  • Exposure to solving unwanted coupling and interference between subsystems
  • Proven track record of leading dynamic multi-functional teams
  • Ability to analyze solutions and make system design trade-offs
  • Familiarity with the challenges of taking a product from early architecture through to production
  • Hands on experience with lab test equipment to debug different/intermittent hardware issues
  • Prototype design and validation with custom silicon
  • Use of scripting languages to assist with hw development
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
