About the role

Apple seeks a Global Supply Manager for mechanical enclosure parts, responsible for sourcing, manufacturing development, execution and production of Apple’s differentiated mechanical enclosure components. The role focuses on building innovative supply chains that align with Apple’s design and manufacturing standards, balancing engineering risk with manufacturing capability and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Supply chain management: identification, development, and management of existing and developing Apple material suppliers.
  • Cost management: development, negotiation and execution of a material cost strategy.
  • Supplier capabilities bring up: understanding materials manufacturing processes/techniques to evaluate supplier capabilities and opportunities for Apple.
  • Cross-functional support: with Apple's industrial design, product development and operations teams.
  • Build Support: on-site management of material manufacturing partners to manage development builds, risk mitigation and ramp.
  • On time delivery: schedule, capacity and supply planning to meet Apple’s production demand.
  • Risk Mitigation: evaluation of technical and business risks using data-based analysis and development of risk mitigation alternatives.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires 6+ years of demonstrated experience in Supply Chain Management / Manufacturing background
  • Proficiency in English & Mandarin written and spoken communication.
  • Knowing to use Excel/ Power point/Keynote/ Numbers
  • Solid communication skills, ability to work in multinational environments, driven and motivated by accomplishing world-class objectives.
  • Ability to travel Internationally and up to 50%
  • Understand costing concepts, cost reduction, modeling, etc.
