About the role

Experienced systems engineer to support and develop hardware/software interface technologies for chip development and verification within Apple’s Platform Architecture group. Collaborate with silicon, software, verification, and validation teams to create and deploy interface technologies for next-generation chips and ensure performance and reliability across devices.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new technologies for interfacing software to hardware prototypes.
  • Work with software, design verification and silicon validation teams to deploy and transfer this technology.
  • Support various groups (software, architecture, verification, validation) in the use of existing and the development of new technology.
  • Work independently and lead deliverables to different teams.
  • Occasional travel to development groups in the US and overseas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
  • Experience programming in C++.
  • Experience with multi-threading/concurrency.
  • Experience with a scripting language such as Python or Lua.
  • Experience with debugging and profiling tools.

Nice to have:SystemVerilog, HDL simulation tools, AXI protocolC++17 or later, templates for compile-time optimizationsmemory ordering and atomicsdata transfer interfaces (sockets, shared memory, PCIe)
