About the role

Machine Learning Engineer focused on building scalable AI/ML systems within Apple’s AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) to democratize AI across solutions. Responsible for developing and deploying ML models, building robust ML infrastructure, feature engineering, data augmentation, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, automated ML pipelines, model optimization, and integration into production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Build intelligent systems to democratize AI across Apple solutions.
  • Drive development and deployment of innovative AI models and systems.
  • Implement robust, scalable ML infrastructure (data storage, processing, model serving).
  • Develop feature engineering, data augmentation, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning frameworks.
  • Design and implement automated ML pipelines for data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, hyper-parameter tuning, and evaluation.
  • Implement model compression and optimization techniques to reduce resource footprint while preserving performance.
  • Support seamless integration of AI/ML models into production environments.
  • Deliver impactful contributions to Apple’s AI capabilities.

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of machine learning engineering experience (feature engineering, model training, model serving, monitoring, refresh management).
  • Experience developing AI/ML systems at scale in production or high-impact research environments.
  • Passion for computer vision, natural language processing, especially LLMs and Generative AI systems.
  • Knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow.
