About the role

Senior Legal Counsel advising on regulatory compliance for health technologies and medical device features, supporting Apple’s health products and services globally. Primary focus on regulatory strategy, risk mitigation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to address development, regulatory, research, and human subjects considerations for health features and medical devices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support for Apple’s health technologies, products, and services with emphasis on regulated medical devices.
  • Advise engineering, marketing, operations, clinical, and regulatory teams on product development, regulatory compliance, research collaborations, partnerships, and human subjects research.
  • Formulate legal and regulatory strategies and offer solutions to mitigate risks in developing innovative health technologies.
  • Advise Apple management on risk allocation, mitigation, business strategies, and policies related to emerging health and medical device technologies.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience advising on regulatory compliance issues specific to health or medical device features
  • JD or equivalent and admission to at least one state bar
  • Experience interacting with and supporting regulatory submissions to the FDA and international agencies outside the U.S
