About the role

Apple AirPods System HW team seeks engineers to own system hardware development from design to factory bring-up, including PCB/flex design, validation planning, manufacturing test, prototype bring-up, data analysis, and issue debugging. Travel to factories may be required. Opportunity to influence AirPods architectures based on program learnings.

Responsibilities

  • EE tasks in the factory including HW testing (coverage, debugging and data review), HW validation, failure analysis, and cross-team support for HW issues.
  • Design tasks including development board, main board, flex and misc HW modules.
  • Management and training of manufacturers’ EE team for above tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2+ years relevant industry experience in designing electronics and/or embedded systems, or fresh graduate worked as key contributor on HW projects in university.
  • Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals (analog/digital design, signal/power integrity, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in prototyping, bring-up, debug and validation.
  • Comfortable in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, etc.
