About the role

Product Manager role focusing on Safari, combining product management/development and product marketing to guide concept through launch, craft messaging, and drive customer adoption across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to define the product roadmap and strategy for Safari
  • Understand Safari several layers deep and communicate with knowledgeable insight
  • Influence critical product trade-offs affecting schedule, usability, differentiation, etc
  • Deeply understand user feedback, competitive trends, emerging regulatory requirements, and overall product space to inform perspective
  • Position Safari in the competitive landscape and craft compelling key product messaging to encourage customer adoption to drive business growth
  • Work with marketing communications and PR on development of product launch and momentum activities, press releases, marketing materials, and press briefings including product demos
  • Serve as an ambassador for Apple through press briefings and customer visits to drive advocacy for the product

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in product marketing and/or product management roles, including at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launch
  • Hands-on experience formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing for both technical and consumer audiences, and/or partnering with engineering during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmap, and with marketing and public relations to craft positioning, and define marketing activities
  • Recent experience within the last 3 years in one or more of: consumer apps (browsing, communication, social), app frameworks, or consumer OS experiences
  • Exceptional presentation skills: developing keynote presentations, synthesizing information, applying critical thinking and maintaining composure under pressure
  • Deep understanding of web browsers and/or web technologies
  • Experience building or improving a full product funnel including messaging, onboarding, retention, measurement, and monetization in consumer software
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and driving continuous experimentation
  • Comfort partnering with data science teams to define and instrument product telemetry
  • Experience managing external partnerships
  • Best-in-class oral and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners
  • Strong ability to lead through influence, debate and storytelling
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; collaborative, consensus-building, handles high-stakes decisions, manages ambiguity
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail; able to navigate between detailed/technical and strategic contexts
  • Self-starter with creative and critical thinking abilities
  • Press and media experience as a product spokesperson on a national or global level
  • Willingness to travel
  • BS/BA and/or MBA
