About the role
Growth Product Manager for Calm's direct-to-consumer business responsible for growth strategy, roadmap, experiments, and optimization across activation, conversion, and retention to drive subscriber growth and daily habit formation.
Responsibilities
- Own growth strategy and roadmap: Develop and own Calm's growth product strategy and roadmap, translating company revenue, subscriber, and DAU goals into a prioritized set of bets across activation, conversion, and retention.
- Run a high-velocity experiment program: Form sharp hypotheses, design and ship A/B tests with engineering and data science, and read results honestly — including the ones that don't win.
- Remove friction from key journeys: Use quantitative and qualitative data to find where users drop off in onboarding, habit-building, and account flows, then test simpler paths through them.
- Ship habit mechanics: Build the features that help users plan, track, and celebrate progress, so a first session becomes a daily practice.
- Write PRDs that make decisions easy: Spell out the job to be done, the opportunity, success metrics, and the plan to ship and iterate — then bring engineers, designers, marketers, and leadership along as the plan changes.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in consumer product with a track record of owning a growth metric (subscriber growth, conversion, retention) across consumer mobile (iOS and Android) and web.
- Fluent in the economics of consumer subscription (trial and paywall conversion, LTV, churn).
- Experience with fast experiment design and analysis (A/B tests, holdouts, sequential testing) and statistical judgment.
- Data-fluent in sourcing quantitative and qualitative data to prioritize a roadmap and make feature calls.
- Knowledge of habit formation mechanics (streaks, reminders, progress, celebration) to drive daily usage.
- AI-native and tooling-fluent with ability to leverage AI tools to drive team velocity and build lasting workflows.
- Technically agile with ability to discuss complexity and prototype ideas.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills to maintain experiment logs, results, and roadmaps.
