About the role

Associate to join the FP&A team at Waabi, providing analytical rigor and strategic clarity to key financial workstreams, with exposure to growth-stage financial planning and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage the core frameworks for a scaling organization, including leadership reporting, monthly budget vs. actuals analysis, and cross-functional financial discipline.
  • Support budget preparation and oversight, involving the development of annual operating budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Regularly collaborate with leadership to monitor and adjust budgets to protect cash flow.
  • Produce accurate and timely financial reports and board materials; create dashboards to monitor daily/monthly financial performance against goals, identifying trends, variances, and risks.
  • Establish processes and methodologies to track and report on KPI’s.
  • Identify, lead, and execute opportunities to improve, automate, and standardize financial systems and reporting processes to optimize efficiency.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated financial models underpinning strategic and commercial initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making, evaluating investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Investment Banking/Private Equity and FP&A/Strategic Finance role at a high-growth technology company.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills with focus on accuracy and scalability.
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, highly organized, able to manage multiple workstreams with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to distill data into clear, concise insights for executive audiences.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial management, analysis, tools, and reporting methodologies, including experience with FP&A software tools.
  • Desire to build frameworks from scratch and improve financial processes as the organization grows.
