About the role

University-level full-time Member of Technical Staff position for new graduates at Perplexity, with focus on mentorship, breadth across the stack, and rapid growth within a high-ownership culture. Responsibilities

  • Work across the stack including agent harnesses, AI inference, and training systems (as part of early career program)
  • Tackle frontier intelligence problems and become world experts in specific problem spaces as needed
  • Contribute to Perplexity’s mission of building frontier intelligence for discerning users
  • Engage in high-ownership projects with mentorship and growth opportunities
  • Grow within a cohort that is mentored and recognized for performance and impact

Qualifications

  • GPA ≥ 3.92 across CS and Math classes
  • A or A+ in upper-level algorithms course
  • Advanced coursework in systems, AI/ML, advanced math, or other rigorous subjects is welcome
  • Non-qualifying applications may be considered if evidence of exceptional ability (to be described in the application)
