About the role
GroundControl is a vertical AI company specializing in manufacturing efficiency; this role focuses on growing revenue with existing supplier bases, conducting technical product demos, and expanding accounts in the aerospace/defense manufacturing space.
Responsibilities
- Grow revenue inside our existing supplier base — converting "lite" suppliers onboarded through an OEM flow-down into full paying customers, and expanding suppliers who've adopted some but not all of GroundControl's products.
- Run technical, confident demos of the GroundControl product suite that feel smooth and effortless to prospects — comfortable enough on a laptop that nothing gets in the way of the story.
- Build fluency in the aerospace/defense supply chain — the OEMs, the suppliers, how they relate — and use it to spot expansion opportunities before they're obvious.
- Stay current on the product roadmap (we ship constantly) so you can speak credibly to what's new and translate it into customer value.
- Travel to customer sites as needed to build relationships and close deals in person.
Qualifications
- Experience selling software (can be in any industry)
- Comfort with technical products, or the capacity to get there fast. You don't need an engineering background, but you shouldn't be afraid to get into the weeds of a customer's process.
- Real curiosity, in three directions: about the product, customers (their business, the map, what's happening in their world), and the industry (so you know where to target and why).

As an example, the Boeing 777 is made up of over 3 million parts sourced from manufacturers around the world. These manufacturers must complete quality documentation for every part on this aircraft (machined parts, printed circuit boards, wire harnesses, assemblies, and more). GroundControl helps manufacturers complete this required documentation accurately, in minutes instead of days.
