About the role

Solutions Engineer role at AuthZed (AuthZed.org) focusing on pre-sales technical qualification, demonstrations, and design of PoCs to validate authorization infrastructure solutions for prospects in the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities

  • The technical win in deals by demonstrating that AuthZed meets the prospect's requirements
  • Daily collaboration with Account Executives in a pre-sales role to understand and document customer technical requirements, performance Service Level Objectives (SLOs), consistency requirements, and software architecture
  • Building live permissions schema design sessions, tailored solutions leveraging our products, and designing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate solutions with prospects
  • Leading virtual and in-person demos and deep-dive technical sessions
  • Identifying product gaps and communicating these to our product team to help shape the future of our offerings
  • Creation, improvement, and maintenance of dynamic customer demos, troubleshooting technical issues to ensure customer success

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a solutions engineering role or similar technical position, preferably in a customer-facing capacity
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a relevant field. Directly related work experience will also be considered in lieu of formal education
  • Technical Proficiency: strong diagnostic and analytical abilities to solve complex technical issues and translate customer requirements into technical and business terms
  • Communication and Analytical Skills: ability to communicate with internal engineering and product teams and present to stakeholders of varying technical levels
  • Client Interaction: track record of conducting training sessions, demos, and presentations to diverse technical audiences
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: comfort with ambiguous and changing requirements and rapid learning of new concepts
