About the role

Performs software development and maintenance of applications and systems for the organization. Plans and coordinates all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of the organization’s applications. Conducts software coding, testing, debugging, and installation of an organization’s application systems.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing software solutions: Programming specialists design and create software applications to meet business requirements.

Qualifications

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree; or an Associate’s degree with at least 4 years of experience; or a minimum of 60 semester hours of formal education working towards an associate or bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience; or at least 8 years of experience is required.
  • Additional certifications (other than those required for the position) in the area of specialization be substituted for experience or education but varies by certification.
  • Recommended Certifications: Microsoft Azure Developer, AWS Developer, Google Cloud Developer, CIW Web Developer, Oracle JAVA SE, Redhat, C++, C#, A+
