About the role

IT Systems Administrator to own endpoint management, asset management, and day-to-day IT support for our Boston office, with a focus on Apple device management (Jamf Pro and Jamf Connect) and multi-OS support (macOS, Windows, Linux, mobile) in a collaborative IT team.

Responsibilities

  • Device, asset, and lifecycle management: Administer Jamf Pro and Jamf Connect for macOS; manage Apple Business Manager for device enrollment, app licensing, and managed Apple IDs; provision, configure, troubleshoot, and repair macOS, Windows, and Linux machines, mobile devices, Windows VMs, servers, and peripherals; own IT asset management end-to-end including procurement, deployment, licenses, and retirement/disposal; run onboarding, offboarding, and role-change processes.
  • Service delivery, documentation, and cross-team work: Manage daily Jira ticket queue with prioritization and communication; identify recurring issues and automate provisioning or document fixes; write and maintain SOPs and knowledge base docs; collaborate with global IT, stakeholders, and vendors on escalations and process improvements; contribute to broader IT initiatives and own improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in IT support, IT operations, systems administration, or endpoint/device management; degree in IT, Computer Science, or Information Systems welcome but not required (equivalent hands-on experience counts).
  • Jamf certification (Jamf Certified Technician, Administrator, or higher) with hands-on production experience running Jamf Pro and Jamf Connect for macOS fleets.
  • Experience supporting Windows and Linux systems, including server administration, in addition to macOS.
  • Experience with JumpCloud or a similar MDM/directory platform for managing Windows and Linux endpoints.
  • Experience with Apple Business Manager and mobile device management (iOS/Android).
  • Understanding of IT asset management and the employee device lifecycle procurement through retirement.
  • Strong communication and customer service instincts.
  • Proactive mindset to anticipate problems, initiate improvements, and stay steady during outages.
