About the role

Legal counsel for AMD's Graphics & Engineering (G&E) unit, focusing on product development, licensing, IP, open-source software, compliance, and risk management for GPU hardware, software, and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate inbound/outbound software licenses, technology, and IP agreements.
  • Counsel engineering clients on contract terms, software, compliance, AI solutions, and dispute resolution.
  • Advise on open-source software use, including compliance with policies and code scanning.
  • Provide guidance on product development and legal risk management.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to negotiate and coordinate key transactions.
  • Develop and deliver internal training on legal, software, and compliance matters.
  • Monitor emerging legal and regulatory issues affecting datacenter, AI, semiconductor, hardware, and software products, and translate those developments into practical guidance for the business.

Qualifications

  • JD degree and admission to practice law in a U.S. state.
